How to pass IP information to the partner?

It is highly recommanded to participate in the free Picture Directory service. Doing so will no longer need you to pass the IP information for Internet access.

When you decide not to participate in the Picture Directory service your choices are as follows:

  1. You might consider passing the IP information by email. You can certainly do that, but when if have a dynamic IP and the partner does not open the email right away your IP might be changed by the time the email is opened.
  2. It is a better way of using a messenger type application. You can use MSN or Yahoo Messenger, or you can use our free Webphone from http://www.direct-print.com/webph.exe .
  3. If you have a domain website you can also publish a file containing your IP information there. This file needs to be updated however every single time when the external (Wang) IP is changing. You can automate this with our Action Process Automator from http://www.direct-print.com/action44.exe . Doing that will need you to pass only once the url of the file to your friends and family. They can than always retrieve the current IP with their Internet Browser.
