Dials from any application! |
Remote Dialer adds dialing capabilities to any application. It can also be used as a standalone dialer. When the Dialer is loaded it appears in the system tray. Highlight a phone number in a document, in an html page or in a database or spreadsheet and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl+C). The Dialer will pop up with the phone number ready to dial:

Phone numbers may also be typed. The dialer considers any text as phone number, which contains only characters from 0 to 9 and the hyphen, the dot, the left and the right parenthesis. In cases when this conflicts with other applications the user can right clicking on the icon in the system tray and unmarking "Detects". |

|
User defined long distance prefix |
Click the Options-Customize User defined long distance menu and enter the prefix when the long distance prefix you need to use is not shown. You can also edit it the same way and remove. |

|
Long distance provider |
Enter the provider's calling number to the green area and make Active marked when you want to use a different provider than the default. This entry will automatically be saved and re-appears next time. |

Dialing |

The executable Dialer.exe can be launched from any application with the phone number on the command line. For example, from VB or VBA: Call Shell("c:\dialer32\dialer.exe 555-555-5555", 1) |
